Bridges and Crowns

Bridges and Crowns Dr's Avrutin and Statman are very skilled with dental restorations such as bridges and crowns. When artfully placed, bridges and crowns look just like original teeth, without blemishes or obvious signs of dentistry.

Wherever possible, we use all-porcelain materials in our dental restorations. Porcelain is very strong and mimics the natural light refraction qualities of natural teeth and maintains the natural contours and ridges of your teeth.

Children’s Dentistry

Taking your child to the dentist for the very first time is an exciting and sometimes anxiety producing experience, with many new sights and sounds to introduce to your child. We have an exceptional staff that will make your child's first visit to the dentist a positive and happy experience. Both Dr. Avrutin and Dr. Statman are parents, with 3 children each and greatly enjoy working with children of all ages. There are games in the waiting room and TV's in every treatment room to add to your child's positive first dental experience.

Hygiene Program

Periodontal (gum) disease affects a large percentage of the adult population in the United States. Our team of dental hygienists is skilled at performing dental cleanings in a caring, empathetic manner. Every patient has different needs and our staff will go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. Some patients who have the initial stages of periodontal disease will require novocaine (local dental anesthesia) to get a more effective result and also to keep the procedure pain-free. In our office many of our hygienists are licensed to administer anesthesia themselves. In some cases, we may make a referral to a gum specialist (Periodontist), if we feel that they can better address your disease.

Our hygienists will discuss which products and techniques will be best for you to use to achieve optimal health in your mouth. They will also educate you regarding the link between gum disease and heart disease and diabetes. It is our goal to stay well informed on the latest medical and dental research so that we can educate our patients with up to date information.

Root Canal

We have an endodontist (root canal specialist) on staff in our office. Despite its reputation as a procedure that causes pain, most root canals are relatively pain-free. Root canals are done to prevent an infected tooth from being extracted. The damaged nerve is cleaned out and the root is sealed to prevent bacteria from re-entering the tooth. Most root canals take 2 visits to complete and a crown is often placed over the root to provide for many years of pain- free use.
